Basic mainenance.

Must be a guide who not a big 5 guide but more focused on smaller things. (BIRDS, Plants, flowers, Coastal etc) as we are not about the big 5. (do have elephant, buffalo, hyena, leopard, etc. but no lion & cheetah).  

DUTIES

Drives , Boat safaris, beach safaris, night drives.

Vehicle maintenance and checks, checking rangers vehicles & procedures to be followed.

Must be self motivated.

Hosting & bar duties & general assisting at the lodge when needed as back up.

Reservationist

We are looking for individual with experience in a similar front desk/reservations role, good knowledge of the hospitality industry, and strong communication and guest-service skills. The ideal candidate should be, Afrikaans Speaking, professional, friendly, organized, comfortable dealing with guests, and able to manage reservations and front-desk responsibilities efficiently. Marketing and sales knowledge will be beneficial. Age between the ages of 28- 45

Assistant Lodge Manager

 

Requirements for assistant manager:

The assistant manager should be able to handle in camp issues and use initiative and work alone and well under pressure.

It is very important to acknowledge that we are a very small team and working in close quarters with each other, a friendly demeanor and attitude is what we need. We need the individual to be an energetic person and be eager to learn and dive in, as well as and handle staff confidently and respectfully 

Senior Operations & Quality Control Administrator
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven administration or operations support experience, preferably within retail or hospitality.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and people-management skills.
  • Confident in leading, training, guiding and holding a team accountable.

  • Experience developing or implementing SOPs.

The role will involve overseeing store administration and operational tasks, ensuring SOPs and protocols are followed, checking operational documentation, assisting with process improvements, training and guiding the team, monitoring compliance and supporting Management with day-to-day operational oversight.

Working requirements:

Please note that this is not a Monday–Friday office position. As this is a retail environment, the successful candidate will be required to work on public holidays and must be available to work a half day on either a Saturday or Sunday. The role also requires flexibility during peak trading periods.

FOH/ Housekeeper

The successful candidate should be comfortable taking responsibility for areas including:

  • Daily room and lodge checks – inspecting guest rooms and public areas prior to guest arrival and ensuring that presentation, cleanliness, amenities and attention to detail consistently meet the required lodge standard.
  • Laundry procedures and controls – overseeing the correct handling, washing, drying, ironing, folding and storage of guest and lodge laundry, including linen and uniforms. The candidate should understand the importance of correct laundry procedures to minimise damage, staining, loss and unnecessary replacement of linen.
  • Housekeeping staff training – providing practical, hands-on training to housekeepers and ensuring that room-cleaning procedures, turndowns, bed presentation, bathroom standards, guest amenities and public-area cleaning are carried out consistently.
  • Housekeeping standards and procedures – ensuring that established cleaning schedules, checklists and procedures are followed and identifying areas where additional training or corrective action may be required.
  • Stock control and stock takes – assisting with and/or managing regular stock takes of linen, towels, guest amenities, cleaning materials and other housekeeping supplies. This includes monitoring usage, identifying discrepancies and ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Linen and equipment control – monitoring the condition of linen, towels, uniforms and housekeeping equipment and ensuring damaged or worn items are reported and managed appropriately.
  • Housekeeping stores – ensuring housekeeping and linen stores remain organised, clean and correctly controlled.
  • Team supervision and planning – assisting with daily allocation of duties and ensuring the housekeeping team is properly prepared for arrivals, departures, stayovers and special guest requirements.
  • Maintenance reporting – identifying and reporting maintenance issues found during room inspections and following up to ensure that these are attended to before guest arrival wherever possible.

Guest service and attention to detail – recognising that housekeeping is an integral part of the overall guest experience and ensuring that rooms are prepared with the level of care and consistency expected

Game Ranger

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Game Ranger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guests with an unforgettable safari experience while ensuring the safety of both wildlife and visitors. FGSA level 1, 2 and 3 Rangers required. Trails guide qualifications would be an advantage but not essential for all positions. PDP and Code 10 License. Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication skills. Neat and well presented. Able to work well with a team environment.

Maintenance Manager

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Proven experience in maintenance management and team leadership, preferably within a lodge, hotel, resort or similar hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of approximately 8 staff members.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to delegate, guide, motivate and hold staff accountable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with HODs and staff across different departments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance.
  • Experience with air-conditioning systems, geysers, pumps, pools and water systems would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of solar systems and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of preventative maintenance.
  • Good organisational and stock-control skills.
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety, firefighting and first aid.
  • The ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A hands-on approach as well as basic administrative skills such as sending emails, using Excel and Word and operating PanHospitality (not essential; we can do training at the lodge).
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm and effective during emergencies.

Housekeeping Supervisor

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor with minimum 3 years’ experience in housekeeping management. Must be polite, friendly and well organised with a strong personality. Must have a eye for detail. Must have grade 12 and be computer literate. Formal hospitality degree/diploma preferable. The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible to train and motivate and manage all housekeeping staff. Assist with queries and guest complaints. Maintain and implement procedure to ensure the cleanliness of all areas of the hotel including outside areas, rooms and public areas. Daily meetings and handovers with staff, staff rostering and do monthly stock takes.

Head Chef

Guest Relations / Administration Assistant: Mtric. 3 years Hotel or Hospitality diploma/degree is beneficial or similar hospitality qualification would be advantageous. Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position Or in a similar Lodge and/or Hotel related position. Sound Food & Beverage experience and service knowledge is highly beneficial. Excellent guest relations skills. Excellent staff management skills. Consistent in dealing with staff and guest requirements.
